Pet Recipes - Meals

Rover’s Rissoles

  • 1 cup hamburger meat stir-fried in 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 boiled eggs chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked plain oatmeal
  • 1 jar baby food green beans
  • 1 jar baby food carrots
  • 2 tablespoons cottage cheese

Combine all ingredients and serve at room temperature.

 

Canine’s Casserole

  • 1 cup boiled poultry chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 cup boiled mixed vegetables
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons unsalted chicken broth

Stir together and serve at room temperature.

 

Feline Chicken and Rice Diet

  • 1 cup chopped cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped broccoli - cooked until tender
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrot - cooked until tender
  • chicken broth

Process all ingredients in a food processor or blender with enough chicken broth to hold together. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

 

Raw Dinner for Medium Sized Dogs

  • 350 grams Raw Meat (beef, chicken, fish or lamb)
  • 1 raw egg
  • 2 tablespoons natural yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon flax seed oil
  • 1 teaspoon kelp seaweed powder
  • 4 tablespoons raw grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup kibble (optional)

Mix together and serve at room temperature.

 

Marvelous Meatballs

  • 500 grams hamburger mince
  • 2 cups dry kibble
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 cup raw grated apple
  • 2 tablespoon Omega3,6 oil (eg Mega-Coat)

Mix ingredients together, shape into balls. feed fresh or freeze for when needed.

 

Erik and Molly's Favourite Low Fat Dinner Recipe

  • 3 cups(250ml) of Brown Rice cooked in approx 5 cups of water (microwave about 30-35 mins)
  • 4 tins of 425gram Tuna in springwater (homebrand is fine) drained
  • 4 x 420grams tins of baked beans in tom sauce, rinsed under water to remove the tom sauce.

Mix In a large mixing bowl all together and serve. 

*This is a base recipe and you can add things like grated carrot or parsley. A little grated apple is nice (good for digestion). Parmesan cheese is a treat. Cooked sliced cabbage for tummy problems . Cooked beetroot to cleanse (dont panic,the poo will be red).
