Cazitel Allwormer for Dogs Description:
Cazitel for Dogs is a multispectrum, flavoured allwormer tablet for the control of 12 species of intestinal worms in dogs including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm (including hydatid tapeworm). It also controls the shedding of giardia oocysts. Cazitel is produced by the same pharmaceutical company that makes Revolution Flea and Heartworm Control, Zoetis.
Cazitel for Dogs is available in a 4 tablet pack; each tablet treats 10kg. Cazitel for Large Dogs is available in a 2 tablet pack; each tablet treats 35kg.
Directions for Use
Weigh dogs before treatment. Dogs are treated by weight with the appropriate number of tablets. All tablets are to be administered at the same time, by mouth. Fasting prior to dosing is not necessary. Each Cazitel tablet for Dogs treats 10kg. Each Cazitel tablet for Large Dogs treats 35kg. A common regime for hookworm and roundworm treatment is to worm puppies at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks and then every month until 6 months of age. Thereafter, every 3 months. Treat breeding bitches prior to mating then 10 days before whelping and 2 and 4 weeks after whelping. All dogs and cats in the household should be treated when worming. Whipworms can be treated every 6 to 8 weeks after 3 months of age. Tapeworms (excluding hydatid tapeworms) can be treated every 3 months. Dogs in Hydatid Tapeworm areas should be treated every 6 weeks. Suspected Giardia infection should be confirmed by a veterinarian and treated for 3 consecutive days.
Do not use in puppies under 2 weeks of age. This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it.
Possible Side Effects
Cazitel is approved for use in puppies from 2 weeks of age. Cazitel may be combined with other treatments, for example flea and tick treatments and vaccination.
