With the surf challenging and the biggest swell seen at First Point for many years, the 2022 Australian Surfing Dog Championships was contested by eight teams, all super keen and eager to take out the coveted 2022 Best Wave Award.
After 45 minutes of shredding, hanging "20", tandem wave riding and entertaining the massive crowd gathered at First Point Noosa, veteran Opal Jones and newbie Lily Shadforth, with Pug extraordinare Freddy, paddled away with the Best Wave Award.
Here are some of our favourite shots from the 2022 event.
