2023 Event Highlights

The surf gods must've been smiling down on us 'cause the conditions were epic at First Point Noosa for our 12th Annual Surfing Dogs Championships, dude! Our competitors were rippin' it up in the gnarly waves, and it was a full-on spectacle with 9 teams and 3 new furry shredders joinin' the pack.

And let me tell ya, it was a close call this year, with all the pups puttin' on a show and bustin' out their sickest tricks in the waves. But after much debate, we had to crown the gnarliest surf dogs of '23, and that honor went to Poppy, Michele, and Luke for catching the sickest waves of the event!

We also gotta give major props to Spike and Hugsley, two legendary veteran retirees who gave it their all in their final shred of the waves, and dominated the competition like the true surf legends they are! It was a day to remember.

Team Rama and Chris made "surfing with a dog" look easy, winning the Best Wipeout Award at the Surfing Dog Championships.

 

In their first-ever Surfing Dog Championships, Isaac and Bear were showing off their sick tricks and skills on the water like seasoned pros!

 

These shredders don't mess around! Team Happy and Paul traveled all the way from WA to show off their mad skills on the waves at the Surfing Dog Championships!

 

Mark and Coco made a splash in their first-ever Surfing Dog Championships.

 

Team Bu proves they're true legends of the sport, catching killer waves and showing off their skills like total pros.

 

It's the end of an era as Hugsley paddles out to catch his final waves and retire from surfing like a true legend of the sport!

 

Spike and Rama ride in on their final wave together as Spike officially retires from the sport, leaving behind an incredible legacy.

 

Congrats to Team Poppy for an epic win of the best wave at the 2023 Surfing Dogs Championships.
